CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The organizers encourage the submission of original paediatric brain injury research or effective approaches in clinical practice for presentation at the conference. Abstracts will be scored by the  Planning Committee and accepted work will be presented in either short oral presentations or as a poster.

Abstract submission categories are as follows:

  • Cognitive, social and behavioral rehabilitation
  • Developmental issues through childhood, adolescence and young adulthood
  • Education issues
  • Epidemiology
  • Family supports/interventions
  • Life-long and chronic issues
  • Litigation and criminal issues
  • Long term medical concerns and issues
  • Mild brain injury and sports concussion
  • Non-accidental and non-traumatic brain injury
  • Outcome measurements
  • Prevention
  • Technology in rehabilitation
  • Transition issues

SUBMISSION

DEADLINE

The abstract submissions are due Tuesday, March 24th at 11:59pm PST.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The name used in the abstract submission will be displayed as the presenter in the online agenda.
  • Emails sent by IPBIS2020 to abstract presenters will be sent to the email address provided in the abstract submission.
  • It is the responsibility of that recipient to ensure that the actual presenter receives all communications from the time of submission until after the conference.

*Submissions must be data-driven or assessment/treatment model descriptions.

WORD LIMIT
The abstract word limit will be 350 words with English characters; if you use accents, umlauts, etc., the abstract will count them as additional words (please use the Special Characters keyboard).

REVIEW PROCESS

The Educational Planning Committee will review the regular abstracts once the deadline has passed and will determine which abstracts receive awards, as well as the most appropriate presentation format (oral or poster) for each accepted abstract.

AWARDS
